“I adore celebrating the perfect imperfections of nature -
the textures, the light, and the strength or fragility that Mother Earth so exquisitely demonstrates”
Even as a child, I had a deep appreciation for the beauty and abundance of nature. I would spend hours exploring the countryside around my home in France, finding treasures and carefully - lovingly - arranging them. I’m sure my talent for curation, and my appreciation for style began all that time ago. Studying Fashion Design in Paris was a natural progression and my attention for detail led me to dress the likes of Naomi Campbell and Claudia Schieffer at Chanel’s Haute Couture shows. Design and style are intrinsic to who I am, yet I would come to realise, they remain empty without the intention of love that that is assured so organically by nature.
Today, my love of creating things of beauty has only intensified. Rather than refined and perfect, I adore celebrating the perfect imperfections of nature – the rawness, the texture, the play of light – even the strength or fragility that Mother Earth expresses through every detail. Like her, I pour healing and love through each piece, so they come to life in the same way as the dance of a falling autumn leaf, or the power and majesty of a kauri trunk. Therein lies the true alchemy.
Whether in silver, copper, bronze, wood or ceramics, I love to hand weave new life into form. It is such a joy to watch how different people respond and resonate with my work. I can almost see the energetic interaction, and I know they’ve found each other - that energy relationship continuing long after a piece leaves the gallery.
